Naïveté or Wonder? (by Nani)

We've both emptied our minds of most of our inherent naïveté, but still look at our world in wonder.
Not quite like children, but more like... We haven't even scratched the surface of our existence here on this beautiful planet.

So, what is it?

I truly believe it has to do with the observer. Some people call it your perception. Others - their dogma.

But is it ever anything more than what one chooses to Feel? Hear? Taste? Smell? See?
It's the class half empty or half full scenario, like the Kobayashi Maru - there is no right or wrong. It all depends on how one wants to feel and remember something. The victim chooses to see most things as being bad, perpetuating their own defenseless situation called, "why don't I have...?", while the eternal optimist chooses to make due with the half that's there - possibly even to be thankful. What a concept.

But I digress - right, Mike?

Rose-colored glasses - never.
Appropriately shaded eyes from directly gazing at the sun - sometimes.
Choosing to look with wonder - always.
